Table of Contents
As a woodworker, most of our materials can be found and bought from local DIY stores, or timber merchants. Especially if all you are looking for is pine, plywood or maybe the odd bit of oak or cherry for example.
But sometimes, you might want to incorporate some different species of wood into your projects. You might even want to include some exotic wood Which Exotic Woods Should You Avoid? species from outside of the UK.
Well, this can be tricky as exotic species are rarely sold at timber merchants and even less likely at your local DIY store. Therefore, I thought it would be helpful to put together a useful list of local exotic wood suppliers who are known to sell exotic woods, hardwoods and turning blanks for those wood-turners amongst you.
